our reference text : We are participants of local social forums all over Europe, and we may also be members of entities, (groups, associations, networks, movements,. ) involved in, or interested in local social forum processes.

We are going to ESF2006 in Athens to exchange experiences and ideas on how to work for positive changes in the local environment in which we all live our daily lives. We feel that local social forums are the spaces and tools to interconnect our social and political activities and struggles and give local answers to global problems. We aim to spread the common idea of the local social forum as a horizontal democratic and inclusive tool for building and strengthening the position of, and cooperation between, the diverse collective entities and individuals active at the local level.

Considering this diversity amongst ourselves and the forums we are participating in, we are going to integrate some of the activities that we hold at ESF2006 in this set, building our presence in an open and inclusive way.

We will organize two participatory meetings involving the EULSFpn - European Local Social Forums participant network(*1), and all other entities participating in the Set of activities:

1 -Experiences about how to organize a local social forum

2- Role and future of Local social forums in the context of the social forum process at different levels.

We intend to have a third activity : We would also take part in an open space (*2) called 'Local forums/Urban space' (with a café ! ) associated with Thematic Area 17 ( Local mobilizations/ Urban politics) by organizing there exhibitions, contact panel , informal meetings, information table, etc during all of ESF2006 event..

We understand that all decisions regarding : 1 - participation and integration of activities in this set, 2 - preparation of the three common activities listed above, 3 - issuing a text at the end of the common participatory workshop, are a matter of consensus, publicly formed on EULSF participant network working list.
